Indian restaurant Kricket, is to close its Pop Brixton site on 27th May after nearly two years, to find a permanent residence. On its last day of trading Kricket will host a ‘last supper’ event, with a menu of the restaurant’s ‘greatest hits’, including Keralan fried chicken, bhel puri, crab meen moilee and hake with malai sauce.
Chef Will Bowlby and Rik Campbell launched Kricket in June 2015 inside one of Pop Brixton’s shipping containers as a 20-cover restaurant serving Indian small plates and cocktails, and opened its first permanent site in January in London Soho. The pair will begin searching for sites in Brixton first.
Kricket is backed by the White Rabbit Growth Fund, a hospitality investment vehicle founded by Chris Miller, a former commercial director of Soho House Group.
