Fears of egg shortages have arisen in the hospitality sector. The
British Free Range Egg Producers Association suggests Britain’s egg
production could plunge by eight million next year, with analysts
predicting empty supermarket shelves at Christmas. Bird flu and
farmers reducing the size of their flocks, are blamed.
