Monty’s Curry Centre in Stanford-Le-Hope in Essex, which was the only double winner at this year’s Asian Curry Awards attributes it’s longevity to “treating its customers like family.”
The longest established curry house in the area, named after the current owner’s uncle Monty, reports customers who first visited the restaurant as children, now return with children of their own.
“We provide meticulously prepared authentic Indian food in a style that our customers love and keep returning for, again and again, after many years,” said restaurateur Saidur Ullar.
Monty’s received regional accolades for Asian Restaurant of the Year and the Best Takeaway for the East of England
The Award’s judges, led by Cobra Good Curry Guide editor Pat Chapman were impressed by Chef Abdul Alim’s Hara Tikka, lightly marinated with chilli and spice and his Fish Makanwalla cooked in a rich and complex sauce.
Ullar says it’s the partnership between Chef Alim and restaurant manager, Mohammed Rahman, who strive for ever higher culinary standards with innovative new combinations, to keep customers wanting to experience new tastes and new experiences.
