Takumi Birmingham-based Japanese restaurant is opening in London – its second site. The company open in Soho’s Old Compton Street.
With 50 covers across the ground floor, the restaurant is set to launch in September. Takumi has proved popular in Birmingham’s Chinatown, serving an array of authentic Japanese food and drink.
Dishes at the Soho restaurant will include sushi, maki rolls and donburi, alongside unique takes on seafood and meat carpaccio, plus grilled and skewered meat and vegetables.
Drinks will include Japanese beer, tea, a variety of sake and cocktails.
Co-owner Alex Xu said: “This is an historic site in the midst of one of London’s most exciting areas, and we are delighted to be bringing the Takumi dining experience to the capital.”
