Veteran broadcaster Jon Snow is to present a charity appeal in support of Find Your Feet’s work on BBC Radio 4 on Sunday 22nd August.
In the appeal, Jon Snow will be reporting on the challenges people face around mental health in the Global South and the innovative ways Find Your Feet (FYF) is working with communities to address those challenges.
As the world navigates through the COVID-19 pandemic, FYF has had to deal with lockdowns, uncertainty around our livelihoods, illness and loss of life. The pressures on mental wellbeing have been great. In the communities we work with in Africa and Asia, these pressures are often exacerbated by overstretched finances and under-resourced healthcare systems.
This appeal showcases its work alongside communities in to find local solutions to the issues troubling people today – whether supporting health workers or providing agricultural training for people living with mental health conditions.
The appeal will be broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on Sunday 22nd August at 7:54 and 21:25.
