Adventure Gourmet is hosting a Master Class at Cafe Spice Namaste’s Pradhan Room, demonstrating ‘the ordinary made extraordinary’ – reinventing, and reimagining dishes in “spectacular ways”, with Chef Simon Hulstone. Using Café Spice’s new Poggenpohl demonstration kitchen in Prescot Street, London E1, Simon will show guests how to create the ideal kebabs and grilled meats and such dishes as Squid Risotto and Apple Tarte Tatin.
Hulstone, one of the UK’s most awarded chefs, and whose The Elephant Restaurant was the first establishment to be awarded a Michelin star in Torquay, putting the English Riviera on the culinary map.
Former Roux scholar for young chefs, Simon was named the Craft Guild of Chefs National Chef of the Year in 2008 .He has twice represented the UK in the Bocuse d’Or, the world’s most challenging and prestigious culinary contest. He has captained both the British team in the Culinary Olympics and the English Culinary Team at the Culinary World Cup. Simon has headed up The Elephant with his wife Katy since 2003, which has held a Michelin star continually since 2005.
The session lasts from at 9.30am until 2.30pm, including welcome tea and coffee, followed by a 2-course lunch. Tickets £125 + VAT.
