Turkish restaurant Misya Mezze & Grill, which has a restaurant in Stevenage High Street, has opened a second site in Hertfordshire, in Welwyn Garden City.
The family-run business has submitted plans to transform town centre pub the Parkway Bar, which has been vacant since the end of last year.
Misya’s website describes the business as being established for more than 30 years in the UK and offering food inspired by Anatolia.
Owner Isa Demir said: “I think Welwyn Garden City will be a good location for a Turkish restaurant. We’re busy in our Stevenage restaurant. We want to open in towns that haven’t got a Turkish restaurant so we can be the first.”
