Nisha Katona, the founder of the 12-strong Mowgli Indian street food chain,

Katona said: “The dogs and family have approved a possible site in London for October” and is also looking at Newcastle and Cambridge for 2023-24 and the brand would “continue to build at the steady rate of four sites a year”

Mowgli has created 500 jobs and raised almost £1m for its house charities.

Mowgli Cheltenham will open in August, Bristol will open early 2022 followed by Glasgow, Edinburgh, Brighton and Preston. Earlier this year the company confirmed it had secured the ex-Handmade Burger Co site in Glasgow’s St Vincent Street for an opening next year. The company is also set to open in Edinburgh’s Hanover Street.
