Wimbledon Brewery’s London Dry Garden Gin is now available for purchase by trade accounts through Enotria & Coe and Master of Malt.
Winner of two Gold medals – at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2021 and the International Gin Masters 2020 – Wimbledon Garden Gin is distilled using local botanicals that can be found on Wimbledon Common.
Botanicals include: gorse and heather – which grow in abundance on Wimbledon Common – liquorice, lemon, cascade hops and small-batch honey. Smooth and with subtle floral notes, the honey we use is made by local bees, who spend their summers drifting over the gardens of Wimbledon.
Tasting Notes:
Nose – Floral heather balanced with juniper spice and coconut notes from the gorse.
Body – Full and rich courtesy of the honey, with a smoky liquorice sweetness rounded by classic juniper notes.
Aftertaste – Mild herbal bitterness with a hint of sweetness.
Mark Gordon, Founder of Wimbledon Brewery, said: “We know that gin is a very competitive market, but we’d like to think we bring something different by being quintessentially English, not to mention local to many. In fact, recent data released by Barclaycard, shows that consumer spending in local food and drink specialists is up by 30%, which shows that now is a brilliant time to be introducing our Wimbledon Garden Gin.”
