Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts, which operates over 400 restaurants across the globe has opened Mezemiso.
Set on the 15th floor of the Crowne Plaza London on Albert Embankment, with panoramic views over the River Thames and the Houses of Parliament, Mezemiso unites two distinct global flavours to offering “a world class fusion” of Japanese and Lebanese cuisines.
Led by Executive Chef Madlene El Saikali, one of Lebanon’s leading chefs, the menu will showcase classic Lebanese dishes such as ‘Hummus with Lamb Shawarma’ and ‘Rice Filled Vine Leaves with Lamb Cutlet’ as well as creations like ‘Octopus Mezemiso’ and ‘Shish Barak.’ Mezemiso will also introduce Londoners to a new dish, : the ‘Salted Fish’, which sees guests experience an elegant salt shell broken at the table to reveal the cooked seabass.
Head Sushi Chef, Victor Klomu, formally of King of Tempura 2004, has created an eclectic Japanese Fine Dining Menu featuringhis signature dish of ‘Rib Eye & Scallop Uramaki’. Sashimi, Nigri and Maki dishes are also showcased through Klomu’s “creative flavours, beautiful design and unwavering attention to detail.”
Mezemiso’s 20 cover, heated Cigar and Shisha Terrace promises an extensive cigar and shisha menu with to an unparalleled Westminster view. The tobacconist will sell Montecristo, Partagas and Bolivar cigars. Shisha flavours include ‘Grape’ and ‘Mint’ and ‘Blue Mist’.
Guests can indulge with either Beluga Vodka or Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban Whisky or an array of signature cocktails such as the ‘Gibran Reviver N.2’, which pays tribute to Lebanon’s most notorious prophet, Kahlil Gibran, with enriching flavours of Sumac infused gin, Lillet blanc, fig liqueur, Arrack and Mymoune orange marmalade.
