Chef Publishing, the owner of UK-based Chef Magazine, focused on Michelin-starred dining, is to launch Chef Magazine Thailand in want it regards as the street food capital of Asia – Thailand.
Believing that perhaps only London has a more diverse and eclectic food scene, the first edition will focus on the thriving food scene in Bangkok.
The magazine will initially publishing six times year, featuring established and popular chefs as well as new rising stars. In addition the magazine will include recipes from Thailand and carry in depth features of cChefs from around the world. A regular feature will be the street food scene in Bangkok – “which has been copied but never bettered the world over,” according to the magazine’s consultant, Peter Marshall.
The first edition will be published in the summer and the owners are in the process of appointing an editorial board, made up of leading chefs working in Thailand, to ensure strong local content.
Chef Magazine Thailand will be both printed and circulated electronically with an initial print run of 3,000 copies circulated free of charge during the first 12 months, after which it will become a subscription magazine.
